Over the last 25 years, I have been fortunate to have worked for a diverse range of clients and employers, from small businesses to larger institutions and universities. I have extensive experience designing, developing and maintaining content-rich, user-centred, informational and interactive digital experiences.
I launched my career in a small and growing web studio designing in-house branding components and client web properties. After gaining experience in the emerging field of web design and development, I had the opportunity to work abroad for a national newspaper building web features and interactive infographics. Building on this experience, I relocated to the east coast of Canada and found employment as a regional web developer in radio and television broadcasting and news.
After several years, I shifted into the field of health research and education, and worked with and for universities and research centres. In these roles I designed and produced print and branding materials, informational graphics, research videos, and web properties. I’m grateful to have worked and to work in fields that have contributed to lasting and positive impacts on communities.
In my “spare time”, I enjoy exploring other modes of creativity, primarily composing still and video collage art. I also enjoy gardening, crafting, sewing and printmaking.
